Following this letter is the testimony of the complaints made by certain natives against their alcaldes-mayor; dated Manila, June 15, 1582; and signed by Salazar, Andres de Cervantes, Francisco Morante, and finally by the notary, Salvador de Argon. Begins "En la ciudad de manila ..." Ends "no pueden sufrir los alcaldes mayores." Ut supra, pp. 189191. Another copy of this MS. is found in A. de I.; est. 68, caj. 1, leg. 42.
